This is the homepage of Andrew and Yueyun's home kitchen and to-be fine dining establishment if opportunity permits. The name AnYYwAYY is derived from both of our names, with A for Andrew and YY for Yueyun.

AnYYwAYY takes you on a journey with boldly eccentric imagination, immersive personal story-telling and engaging social interaction. We define a one-of-a-kind cuisine full of unconventional yet whimsical ideas that not only bring your sensation on an exploring adventure, but also inspire your mind to connect the dots and have the "Aha" moment. The creative fusion style reflects our chef YY's background, childhood in China and adulthood in the United States. Deeply missing the taste of home, YY recreates the comfort and homey memories of Shanghaiese food in western formats. Heavily influenced by Italian classics (pizza, pasta), French styles (presentation, techniques), and American staples, the eastern elements are now spun off with their western jackets, emerging as an unique and smart cuisine full of surprises.

Story Oriented🔗

YY's philosophy on the recipe development is that a good dish tells a good story. She uses the dish as a canvas to paint her personal story, either a still image from trance or a live motion from adventure. It's her way of conveying the inner world to the audience.

Carb Right🔗

At AnYYwAYY, you will find concepts that defy conventions yet we want to embrace, and you will see why. For example, instead of protein centric, we focus on making carbs the star of the show. They are humble. They are omnipresent. They are the base of diet pyramid. But they are often undervalued and wasted. We believe carbs, if done right, can deliver both peak culinary experience and high nutritional value. More importantly, it's good for the environment.

RightDown🔗

Another "provocative" principle we uphold is called RightDown➘, as opposed to leftover. We upcycle leftover by making smart use of them so they can carry over to another dish in a supporting role, adding complexities for free. It not only encourages us to explore new flavor combinations and spawn innovative ideas, but also helps reducing waste. Again good for the environment.
